Michael Abrams, Ph.D.
Over a 15 year career, Michael has been a management consultant with McKinsey and Accenture, before moving to work in boutique firms. His consulting style is tailored to the needs of different clients and highly collaborative. In his experience, building sustainable change requires co-creating with client leaders, so they ‘own’ the result.
Michael works with businesses at the intersection of strategy, organization, and leadership. His client experience is concentrated in Technology (EMC, Dell, SAP, Unisys), Life Sciences (Thermo Fisher, Astra Zeneca, Elekta), and Energy (PPL, National Grid, Vattenfall), with some work in financial services and retail.
Michael earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and is originally from Philadelphia.
Michael Cohen
Michael combines partner-level experience at a Top 5 general management consulting firm with C-level and board experience growing private equity and venture-backed companies in life sciences, technology and transportation/logistics.
Previously, Michael ran an internal consulting unit for EMC corp’s business leaders. He was also a partner with Oliver Wyman Consulting, where he advised Global 1000 CEOs and their teams in developing and accelerating growth strategies, improving operating performance and launching new businesses. Industries included technology, healthcare/life sciences, transportation/logistics, and financial services.
Michael has also been CEO for venture-backed life sciences technology companies, and served as an independent director. He currently is on the board of PEAR Institute (Partnerships in Education & Resilience), a joint initiative of Harvard and McLean Hospital.
Deborah Brecher
With more than 25 years in consulting, Deb has extensive experience working with CEOs and senior executives in global companies through complex business transformation. Her expertise includes designing and implementing large-scale transformational journeys, organizational redesign, talent strategies, and senior team development and coaching. In recent years, she has also specialized in CEO succession planning and talent pipeline management.
Previously, Deb has been a Managing Director for Accenture, where she co-led both the Talent Strategy and Leadership Effectiveness practices. Before Accenture, she was a Senior Partner for Oliver Wyman Delta. Deborah’s industry experience includes Communications, Media and Technology companies (e.g. Comcast, ATT, Verizon, Turner Broadcasting, Viacom, Disney, HP, Microsoft, and EMC), Healthcare and Life Sciences companies (e.g. Pfizer, Bayer, BMS, AstraZeneca, Zoetis, and City of Hope), Financial Services companies (e.g. Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Freddie Mac, UBS, Credit Suisse, MetLife) and Transportation and Manufacturing companies (e.g. Harley Davidson, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, United Airlines).
Deb has also partnered with Penn’s Wharton School to sponsor and address the university’s annual Leadership Forum which serves hundreds of organizational leaders. She has published in various periodical articles focused on Workforce of the Future and Transforming Performance Management Practices. Deb holds an MA from University of Santa Monica in Psychology.
Maria Norberg
Maria describes herself as a “humanitarian engineer”, who works with technology and people to open new possibilities. Over 7 years, she has consulted, trained, and lectured on leadership, culture change, and diversity inclusion. She has worked with global companies and institutions such as Apple, HM, Elekta, Getinge, Fresenius Kabi, KTH (Sweden’s Royal Institute of Technology) and Svenskt Näringsliv (Confederation of Swedish Enterprise).
In addition to her consulting work, Maria is CEO and co-founder of Women in Technology (‘Teknikkvinnor’ in Swedish), a fast-growing network of over 25,000 people, created to realize the potential of women in technical fields.
Maria holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden, where she specialized in biotechnology.
